No ramp off the sidewalk? No yellow tactile pad? Drop a pin at the exact location.
The app pre-fills the City's official ADA barrier report form with the location details. Review and submit in seconds.
See what your neighbors are reporting. Make it hard for the hard for the city to ignore.
Safe Sidewalk is a side project built by parents in Bernal Heights. After a pedestrian was hit and killed by a reckless driver in our sleepy neighborhood, we realized how much city infrastructure can contribute to safe or unsafe conditions for pedestrians.
When a curb ramp is missing, people using strollers, wheelchairs, or mobility canes are forced into the street. But if we alert the city to these gaps in safe and accessible sidewalks, the clock starts ticking and they have to address it.
There's a lot about SF to fix, but many hands make light work.

Safe Sidewalk SF ("the App") is a free civic accessibility tool that helps San Francisco residents report ADA barriers to the City and County of San Francisco. This policy describes what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.
Sign in with Apple. When you create an account, Apple provides us with a unique user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. If you use Apple's private email relay, we receive only the relay address.
Location data. The App uses your device's location services to place accessibility reports on a map and to show nearby reports. Location data is used only within the App and is not sold or shared with third parties.
Report data. When you flag a location, the App stores the coordinates, any description you provide, and the date and time of the report. This information is visible to other App users.
Avatar photo. You may optionally upload a profile photo. This image is visible to other App users alongside your reports.
Your information is used solely to operate the App: displaying reports on the map, attributing reports to your account, and pre-filling the City of San Francisco's ADA barrier report form on your behalf. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
The App loads the City of San Francisco's official ADA barrier report form within an in-app browser. When you submit that form, your interaction is governed by the City's own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies on sf.gov.
You may delete your account at any time from within the App. When you delete your account, your profile information and associated reports are permanently removed. To request manual deletion, contact us at [email protected].
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].
